Boston Celtics leader and reigning DPOY Marcus Smart was carried off the court near the end of the first half with a non-contact ankle injury after he took an awkward turn on a handoff from Al Horford.

This is the same ankle he injured in the Eastern Conference Finals that carried deep into the offseason.

This is the start of a three-game road trip for the Celtics, so we’ll see how the team handles this situation with Smart.
