Marcus Smart and Isaiah Thomas were teammates for the better part of three years from 2015-17, as the Boston Celtics traded a first round pick for him to the Phoenix Suns.
Thomas went on to lead the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2016-17. He finished fifth in MVP voting for this season and finished second for the Sixth Man of the Year in 2014-15.
Thomas is now doing spot appearances with NBA TV, giving us all the pleasure of seeing him interview his former teammate in Smart, who shared a fun fact about Thomas.
In some of his recent Tweets and videos, Thomas suggests that he can still play and still wants to play. Nevertheless, it’s great to see him back on our screens in some sort of basketball capacity.
