Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Game 4 controversy between Celtics and Hawks with the officials in Atlanta

The Boston Celtics won a hostile Game 4 in Atlanta 129-121 to extend the first round series lead to 3-1 with the potential to advance to the second round on Tuesday night on their home court in Boston.

It was early in the third quarter when Tatum drove to the basket and was pulled to the court by Trae Young, a move he does from time to time when things aren’t going his way.

Tatum took a hard fall, showing frustration as he got himself up off the floor and attempted to make his way towards half court to cool off in the immediate moments after he took the fall.

However, Gediminas Petraitis presumed Tatum was going to confront Young and tried to hold him back as he was walking through, resulting in Tatum lightly pushing the referees hands off of him as he was walking away.

It seemed more like a brush by and the official didn’t appear to be upset about it in any way.

Fast forwarding to the final buzzer, Dejounte Murray walked up to Gediminas Petraitis and chest bumped in out of frustration with some choice words directed his way.

The NBA is definitely going to look at Murray’s end of game antics, which will force them to look into Tatum’s as well.

Game 5 is on Tuesday at 7:30 PM in Boston.
