Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Jayson Tatum takes over Game 7, makes history along the way

The Celtics dismantled the 76ers in the 3rd quarter, which led to their 112-88 Game 7 victory, advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat, with Game 1 starting on Wednesday in Boston.

This game featured everything that embodies team basketball from the Celtics, but it was a takeover in the third quarter from Jayson Tatum that really set the Celtics apart from the 76ers in Game 7.

Tatum scored 25-points in the first half and followed it up by adding 17-points in the third quarter to give him 42-points total through three quarters, he also had 10 rebounds and four assists through three quarters as well.

Tatum finished the game with 51-points on 17-of-28 shooting and made six 3-pointers; he also had 13 rebounds and five assists in Game 7.

Tatum showed up for the Celtics when it mattered most, even after not playing well in the middle of this series.

His 51-points are the most in Game 7 history.

The Celtics host the Heat in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday at 8:30 PM.
