Boston Celtics very own Marcus Smart is getting assists on and off the court this season as he’s nominated for the NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award.
Smart’s annual Bowling Bash is through his YoungGameChanger foundation in an effort to raise money to one day find a cure for cancer.
This is something very special to Marcus as he lost his mother to cancer in 2018. He wants to find a cure to this disease to help others in the future.
