Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Celtics-Heat: Eastern Conference Finals Game 1 injury report

The Boston Celtics host the Miami Heat for the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals with Game 1 starting tonight at the TD Garden.

The last time the Celtics and Heat played was Jan. 24 in Miami. Boston lost 95-98 in a game Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, or Al Horford didn’t play. Jimmy Butler also wasn’t playing in this game either.

Here’s a look at the injury report for Game 1.

For the Celtics

Danilo Gallinari is listed as out for Game 1, but it’s worth mentioning that the veteran has been working towards a return all season and looks great in his rehab. Perhaps there’s a chance we see Gallinari later in this Conference Finals or the NBA Finals if the Celtics advance.

For the Heat

Cody Zeller is considered day-to-day with an illness.

Tyler Herro is out with a hand injury he sustained in the first round of the playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks. There is no indication of when he’ll return to the court as he hasn’t started dribbling or shooting since the injury happened.

Victor Oladipo is out with a knee injury after having surgery in April.

Tipoff from the TD Garden is tonight at 8:30 PM.
