Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Jayson Tatum to host third annual golf tournament on July 31

I remember when Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum first picked up the golf clubs and started taking it seriously when the NBA was in the bubble in 2020 in Disney World.

Golf is a sport that Tatum picked up from his stepfather and only grew into enjoying as he got older, which is something he didn’t think was possible at one point in time.

Now, Tatum is hosting golf tournaments for his foundation, The Jayson Tatum Foundation, the third annual, that is.

The proceeds from the event will allow the foundation to continue supporting the various programs and services and the future ones.

Tatum’s third annual golf tournament is at the Norwood Hills Country Club on July 31 in St. Louis.

The Jayson Tatum Foundation has many built in programs within itself:

The Up Lift program supports kids with school supplies, giving them a backpack full of school supplies.

The Empower program is focused on the youth in the St. Louis area to support them and their dreams to help reach their goals.

The Inspire program is a basketball camp and a leadership program (similar to Big Brothers and Big Sisters).

To see Tatum able to support his community in a way he’s always wanted to is great to see and a dream come true for him.
