Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla was asked where the team stands with Malcolm Brogdon after Boston attempted to trade him after only one season and one in which he won the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year.
“There is a healing process, there is a listening process and to see where we are at and where we have to get to. We’ve had some conversations as an organization but at the same time, we understand that’s the situation that it was and as the healing process goes on, we will move forward as well as you can.”
Mazzulla has already named Derrick White as the team’s starting point guard, which leaves Brogdon back to a bench role for the second consecutive season.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens but all expectations seem to be that Brogdon will be in Boston for start of the season.
