Danilo Gallinari’s dream came true when he was signed by the Boston Celtics, his favorite childhood team. Although, he never got the opportunity to play for Boston last season due to tearing his ACL playing for Italy during that summer, the Celtics cut ties with Gallinari only after one season.

Gallinari was included in the deal to acquire Kristaps Porzingis from the Wizards, where he’ll likely start the year but may not finish the season in Washington.

On the A Cresta Alta Podcast, Gallinari shared that he’s looking forward to the games on the schedule where he’ll be playing the Celtics in Boston.

“I’m loaded up, can’t wait to play against Boston. As soon as the schedule comes out, I’ll put an X on every time I play Boston in Boston.”

It’s unfortunate that things didn’t work out the way it was planned for Gallinari in Boston but the Celtics are a better team having made this deal.

I’ll be looking forward to seeing Gallinari play in Boston next season when Washington is in the city.

Although it won’t be for the Celtics, we can enjoy seeing him play at the TD Garden.
