Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum returned to his Alma Mater Duke University where he used their facilities to do a workout and surprise the women’s team that is being run by Tatum’s former Celtics coach Kara Lawson.
You can see the video here:
Lawson was an assistant coach for the Celtics on Brad Stevens’ staff for the 2019-20 season where she worked closely with former Celtics guard Marcus Smart before accepting the head coaching position at Duke.
Taina Mair is a sophomore guard from Boston who spent her first collegiate season playing for Boston College and is likely to film the void in the starting lineup at Duke. She was clearly ecstatic to see Tatum walk through the door.
This was great to see from Tatum who is trying to give back to the game in his own way.
