Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard agreed to a four-year $30 million contract extension just before the first preseason game of the new season.
Pritchard followed up his contract extension by scoring a game-high 26-points and hit six 3-pointers coming off the bench in Boston’s first preseason game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
In five preseasons games, Pritchard averaged 15.6 points per game on 44.4 percent from the field, and 36.1 percent from behind the arc. He also produced 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals in five games.
Boston’s backup guard was impressive during the preseason and ranks atop the NBA after it’s end.

Pritchard feels comfortable with his role in Boston heading into the season and the Celtics are happy to have him here. He’s going to play an important role in the Celtics quest to raise Banner 18.
