The Boston Celtics have had a heated rivalry with the Milwaukee Bucks most recently since the 2018 playoffs when former Celtics guard Terry Rozier called former Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe, “Drew Bledsoe”, after Game 1 of the first round.
This moment sparked a new rivalry between the two teams. Another spark to this rivalry is Jrue Holiday joining the Celtics after the Bucks traded him to Portland in a trade to acquire Damian Lillard.
When the Celtics hosted the Bucks for the first time this season in their last game, Holiday was asked about the trade and if he feels like he has any chip on his shoulder playing against his former team who ultimately decided to move on from him.
Holiday downplayed the situation of playing his former team. But he did say that by being on the Celtics, he’s in the best place to compete against the Bucks.
