Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics best 2/3-man lineup is with Derrick White and Kristaps Porzingis

The Boston Celtics have plenty of talent along their roster this season.

With two All-NBA wings in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, two All-NBA defensive guards in Derrick White and Jrue Holiday, and the best offensive center in the NBA right now in Kristaps Porzingis, Boston is a powerhouse for any team to match up with.

With all of this high-level talent, what is the best 2/3-man lineup Boston has this season?

The common denominators in a three-man lineup are White and Porzingis, who are in all of Boston’s top three-man combinations.

When they’re on the floor with Tatum, Brown, or Holiday, the Celtics are scoring over 23-points more than the opponents:

This discovery led me to dive into the two-man game between White and Porzingis, which is the No. 1 combination for Boston in points at +21.7 per game with a +8.8 field goals made and +6.4 assists in 280 minutes played together this season.

It’s fair to say that good things happen when White and Porzingis are on the court together and the Celtics are benefiting from it with each game.

The combination of White and Porzingis is an underrated factor to Boston’s success this season.
