Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Kristaps Porzingis gets eye injury against Pacers

Boston Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis left the game midway through the first quarter on Saturday against the Indiana Pacers due to an eye injury.

Porzingis went up for a rebound against Aaron Nesmith when his eye lid was scratched in the process. It caused Porzingis to fall to the floor unable to open his right eye.

The Celtics trainers worked on Porzingis for a bit on the bench. They gave him eye drops and tried to eliminate any irritation he’s feeling in that eye area.

Porzingis eventually re-entered the game but it was short-lived before he helped himself off the court to head to the locker room to receive further evaluation on his eye.

His status to return is questionable.
