Oshae Brissett was the first player the Boston Celtics signed in free agency over the summer as a two-way player that can be a depth piece and provide energy off the bench this season.
Brissett has only played in 18-games and has received many DNP-CDs, but he’s been seeing the court more in recent games and he’s been producing in those moments.
Over the last five games, Brissett’s totaled 20-points, 25 rebounds, three assists, four steals, and one block. He’s shown to be impactful on the court and is on the same page with the rest of the team.
“That started in training camp, honestly. That’s something that Joe and the rest of the coaching staff really instilled in us from then and we’re all driving towards one goal so we can’t have no loose screws.”

Brissett continued to impress on Saturday in Indiana against his former team, scoring eight points and grabbing eight rebounds in 20-minutes off the bench. This hard drive to the basket was really impressive and showed off some skill.
Celtics GM Brad Stevens said earlier this week that he’d be interested in adding a “big wing” at the deadline but he also said that it could be someone from within their own organization.
Perhaps he’s referring to Brissett and is hoping to see him get more minutes moving forward.
