Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Jaylen Brown explains the chemistry with new teammate Kristaps Porzingis

Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown and big man Kristaps Porzingis became close friends quite quickly this season. The teammates even live in the same building, sit next to each other on the plane, and oftentimes will carpool to TD Garden together.

On the latest episode of the View From The Rafters Podcast with Marc D’Amico and Abby Chin, Brown explains the on-court chemistry with Porzingis is at the top of his list of guys he’s played with.

“I’ve had good connections. Me and Smart had a good connection, last year we used to get all those back-cuts. I’ve had good connections but this is definitely one of the best for sure. Over the course of your life, you play a lotta games and teams. But KP definitely ranks at the very top, just the chemistry in year one. We haven’t been playing together for a full year yet and you already see the highlights and points we’ve been able to generate. So imagine playing for a longer period of time, it could even be better.”

Brown and Porzingis have played 36-games together and is one of Boston’s best two-man lineups. They’ve generated a 120.7 offensive rating, 110.4 defensive rating, 10.3 net rating, 19.2 assist ratio, 51.3 rebound percentage, and a 62.2 true shooting percentage.

The chemistry between the two is legit.
