Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla shared his stance on the NBA not valuing winning by not naming Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White to the All-Star team.
“Clearly winning’s not important huh? Winning’s not valuable. That’s my reaction. How could you not put both of those guys in? Winning’s not the most important in the league.”

Porzingis is averaging 20.4 points on 53/36/84 shooting splits. He also adds seven rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game this season.
White is averaging 15.3 points on 45/39/89 shooting splits. He also adds 3.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game this season.
White and Porzingis impact winning in ways that go beyond the box score. They make the right plays just about every time. Mazzulla is right when he says the league doesn’t value winning.
