The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are very familiar with each other in the playoffs, facing off in three out of the last four years. But this time it’s different, as Boston is a completely retooled team at full strength while Miami is dealing with multiple players on their injury report.
During his postgame interview on Friday night when the Heat won over the Bulls in the play-in game, Bam Adebayo gave praise to Kristaps Porzingis and acknowledged the challenge ahead of him.
Adebayo also said that this game is going to be a “dogfight” and it’s not going to be “pretty basketball” as this is a true battle between the two teams.
As I mentioned, the Celtics are at full strength while the Heat have Jimmy Butler (MCL) and Terry Rozier (neck) on the sidelines.
Tipoff for Game 1 is at 1:00 PM on Sunday in Boston.
