Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Kristaps Porzingis not ready for on-court work at Celtics Practice

Boston Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis was at practice this morning, but he’s not ready to do any on-court work just yet after suffering a right calf injury that he says is stronger than the one he suffered earlier this season.

Porzingis talked to the media at practice this morning and he appears to be in good spirits while doing everything he can to get himself back on the court.

“I’m not on the floor yet. But very soon I expect to start doing stuff, still in the weight room and movement and slowly building up. I would say each day is a lot of progress but still very fresh, but making progress and feeling good.”

In the interview, Porzingis explains how this injury happened, saying he rolled his ankle on the play prior leading to him leaving Game 4 with the injury. Heres a look at the play below:

The Celtics should have enough depth to deal with either Cleveland or Orlando in this next round, but Porzingis is the key to it all and will be needed sooner than later.
