Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Jrue Holiday’s steal stole Game 3, Celtics 3-0 in ECF

The Boston Celtics won Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, 114-111, in Indiana at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Pacers haven’t lost during this entire playoff run.

It was an all around team effort by the starters to get this win, as they scored 110 of the 114 points scored, but the biggest play of the game came with less than 10 seconds remaining and with the Celtics leading by one-point.

Jayson Tatum missed a layup with 10.1 on the clock to give Indiana the opportunity to take a lead late in the game. Andrew Nembhard took the ball in transition and tried to drive past Jrue Holiday, which was the biggest mistake he’s made in the Conference Finals.

Holiday jumped Nembhard’s driving lane and poked the ball away, stealing the ball and the game away. Holiday was intentionally fouled with 1.7 seconds left in the game, making both free throws and taking a three-point lead.

Holiday finished the game with 14 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and four stocks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Celtics are one win away from advancing to the NBA Finals for the second time in three years.
