Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

NBA Finals MVP race is wide open, Tatum, Brown, Holiday

The Boston Celtics have a 2-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals as the series transfers to Dallas for the next couple of games.

With the Finals underway and to be coming to a close sooner rather than later, it’s time for the bettors to make their case for Finals MVP, which is a wide open race.

Jayson Tatum has been the favorite for a large majority of the Finals. He’s close to averaging a triple-double despite shooting poorly resulting in him becoming more of a facilitator. Tatum is a +150 after the first two games.

Jaylen Brown has led the Celtics throughout the entire playoffs with consistency and high-level of defense. He’s played with the mindset where he won’t allow his team to lose. Brown was the Eastern Conference Finals MVP and is +140 after two games.

Jrue Holiday has produced masterclasses on both sides of the court in the first two games, elevating his opportunity to win MVP. Holiday has made his presence felt in the playoffs more so now than he has all season and it’s making a difference. He’s at +750 odds to win MVP after two games.

Derrick White is +5000 and Kristaps Porzingis is +4000. Luka Dončić is +600 and Kyrie Irving is +10000.

It’ll be interesting to see who gets this award as Boston’s defense has been key in this series and it’s led by Holiday and White on that end, but Tatum and Brown are great on defense too.

The MVP race is wide open.
