Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics held receipts of national media hating on them

The Boston Celtics will finally raise Banner 18 after 16-years of their last championship. It’s been a wild ride, but it was worth the wait for this group to get the job done.

Over the years, the narratives have been that Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown “can’t play on the same team” and to “split up the Jay’s” as a way to better the team, which never made any sense to me.

Other narratives heard Boston wouldn’t win a championship with Joe Mazzulla as the head coach, but he has a .692 winning percentage in the playoffs (27-12) while leading the Celtics to their second consecutive Eastern Conference Finals, and won a championship in his second year.

So the narratives from the national media is to split up Tatum and Brown, the best duo in the NBA, and to fire Mazzulla if they want to win a championship.

I’m here to tell you that the Celtics didn’t listen to the noise but they kept all of the receipts on what was said, as the Celtics media team made a compilation video of everyone saying Dallas will win the Finals.

The video includes talking heads like Stephen A. Smith, Nick Wright, Austin Rivers, Udonis Haslem, Shaq, Chris Broussard, Skip Bayless, and many more.

The Celtics proved what seems like the entire country wrong, with the exception of New England, of course, by winning the Finals in a 4-1 dominant series.

What’s so great about this team is that it’s built for the next few years with most of the same players, even with navigating as a second apron team and the implications that go along with that.
