After experiencing a championship parade in Boston, Oshae Brissett opted out of his contract and is a free agent this summer. However, he could still sign with Celtics and he might have teased it in his latest vlog.
“I told them, ‘Bro, when we win next year, I’m petitioning to go around twice. Probably even three times. We should have been around there all damn day. Boston, I love you. I really do with my whole heart.”
Brissett played in 55 games during the regular season and 10 in the playoffs. He provided an energy to the game when he was on the court and allowed Boston to utilize him at center in lineups when needed.
He was the first player signed in free agency last year and is now the first player to enter it this season for Boston.
Entering his sixth-year in the NBA, Brissett is likely looking for a larger contract and playing time to go along with it. He averaged the least amount of minutes per game since his rookie season with 11.5 minutes per game.
Although he filled a few different roles for the Celtics, I’m unsure if his services are going to be needed for this team next year considering the way Boston has drafted and added to their roster.
After producing a great season with winning a championship, Brissett should be getting some offers from teams for this upcoming season.
