Celtics rookie Baylor Scheierman logged his first NBA action after Boston selected him 30th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Scheierman missed his first three 3-point shot attempts, but he found other ways to make an impact with his playmaking abilities. He made two assists in the first quarter.
Boston’s rookie scored his first points near the end of the second quarter on a pull-up jump shot from inside the free throw circle.
Scheierman really got going in the second half, connecting on 3-of-5 attempts from behind the arc to overcome his early offensive struggles.
Boston’s rookie finished the game with 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting with five rebounds, six assists, and one steal.
Scheierman really showcased his shooting and passing abilities. He made key plays for Boston and defends well, oftentimes guarding Jaime Jaquez Jr.
He looks like he can play in real minutes during the regular season. It was a great debut for Boston’s rookie.
