Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Jaylen Brown responds to comments on Bronny James

Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown showed up to the Thomas and Mack Center for Game 2 of Summer League with his girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick of the Chicago Sky along with her teammate Angel Reese.

While at the game, Brown was seen making a comment to the WNBA stars that appeared to be about Bronny James, saying that he doesn’t think he’s a pro.

In two Summer League games, James is only averaging five points and four rebounds while playing 25.9 minutes per game. He’s shooting 21.1 percent from the field and hasn’t made a 3-point attempt yet this summer and has more fouls than points.

After the game, Brown went to Twitter to say that it reflects the greatness of LeBron James to have his son playing alongside him and that he’s looking forward to Bronny’s growth.

“It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the nba it reflects greatness and longevity!Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful. I look forward to watching his growth.”

The Lakers drafted Bronny 55th overall after it was made public by Kluth Sports’ Rich Paul his client wouldn’t play in the G League. However, the Lakers Summer League and G League head coach, Dane Johnson, recently said that he sees all the draftees playing in the G League this season.

“I don’t know about that yet, so I can’t really comment on that. But I think all these guys are going to be in the G League at some point — the draftees.”

The Celtics defeated the Lakers 88-74 for their first win of the summer. Rookie first round draft pick Baylor Scheierman looks like he can offer the Celtics real minutes during his rookie season.

Boston’s next game is Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets.
