Boston Celtics All-NBA Defensive guard Derrick White was caught in a fight during the Colorado vs Colorado State football game this past weekend.
White is a proud supporter of his Alma Mater Colorado Buffaloes and has attended many of their football games dating back to last season, even bringing teammate Jaylen Brown to a game last year.
In the video that surfaced from TMZ, it looks like White was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and received a spinning back fist to the head, which knocked him back a few steps.
White’s group of people quickly attempted to defuse the situation, but White looked like he was the one who took the biggest hit of the melee.
Here’s other notes and takeaways from the Celtics:
- Jaylen Brown renovated the basketball court he already redesigned on Fenelon St. in Dorchester just last year.
- Joe Mazzulla doesn’t want the Celtics to “defend the title” but rather “attack” the next one, as he explained on The Locked On Celtics Podcast.
- Xavier Tillman is honored by Michigan State by being added to their NBA Champions wall.
- Jayson Tatum predicts Finals rematch with the Mavericks. Was this his attempt at getting Jason Kidd’s attention like Kidd did to Tatum and Brown in the Finals?
- CBS Sports ranked Mazzulla as the 11th best head coach in the NBA.
- It’s been reported that Wyc Grousbeck and his father, Irv, haven’t seen eye-to-eye regarding the team’s payroll.
- Important upcoming dates to remember for the Celtics, as their offseason begins sooner than the rest of the league.
- Isaiah Thomas meet and greet at Kowloon.
