Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics injury report ahead of Game 54 vs Heat

The Boston Celtics have two games before the All-Star break. On Monday, they’ll be in Miami to take on the Jimmy Butler-less Heat for the first time since 2019, and then they’ll be back in Boston to host the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.

After the trade deadline, Boston traded Jaden Springer to Houston while Miami shipped Butler to Golden State. When the Celtics hosted the Heat on Dec. 2, they won by 19-points, which didn’t feature Butler due to a knee injury.

This is a long way of saying that Boston hasn’t played against Butler this season. In fact, they won’t play against him unless it’s in the Finals because Boston and Golden State have already played both of their matchups in the regular season.

After the trade deadline, however, Boston will see a new-and-improved Miami team that has Andrew Wiggins and Kyle Anderson now.

Here’s a look at the injury report for both teams tonight:

Boston

  • Jaylen Brown, OUT, right knee swelling.
  • Jayson Tatum, AVAILABLE , right patella tendinopathy.
  • Jrue Holiday, OUT, right shoulder impingement.
  • Torrey Craig, OUT, right ankle return from injury reconditioning.

Miami

  • Jaime Jacquez Jr., questionable, illness.
  • Tyler Herro, OUT, illness.
  • Nikola Jovic, probable, right ankle sprain.

Tipoff is at 7:30 PM from the Kaseya Center.
