The Boston Celtics needed just a little something extra in Game 6 to help propel their victory and it once again came from Derrick White.
In 30 minutes, White scored nine points and landed five rebounds off the bench. However, he produced much more than you’ll see in the box score.
To end the first half, White had an offensive rebound, drew a charge, and took two free throws with five seconds left in the half to give Boston a 10 point lead at halftime.
In his last four games, White is averaging 10.7 points, four rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game during that span. He’s shooting 53.8 percent from the floor while connecting on 38.5 percent of his 3-pointers.
He’s also been a +58 through six games against the Bucks in the Eastern Semifinal.
White has been the x-factor that Boston needs in the playoffs.
