Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Celtics Files: List of potential Sam Hauser nicknames

The Boston Celtics have a legitimate 3-point threat in San Hauser and it feels like it’s been a long time since Boston has had a shooter on their hands like this.

Hauser climbed the corporate ladder from being an undrafted rookie free agent to excelling in Boston’s G-League to earning a contract extension over the summer and a roster spot. Hauser is a true baller and he’s contributing heavily early on this season.

He’s currently shooting at an impressive clip and doing exactly what the Celtics are expecting him to do. Hauser is averaging 57.1 percent from the field, 54.8 percent from 3-point range, and 50 percent from the line. If Hauser got to the line more often he would easily be a 50-40-90 guy in this league.

The only thing Hauser needs to do (besides being stronger on defense) is to solidify a nickname for himself. Whether it’s from a teammate or one he’s had in the past, he needs to reprise it so that the Celtics Nation and Boston media can show him more love.

Here’s some nicknames we’re thinking of and have heard around the city lately:

  • Big Smooth
  • Big Sam
  • Sammy Shoots
  • Shooter Sam
  • 3-Sam (CLNS)
  • Me Shooty (Hauser family)
  • The Hause
  • 3’s-er
  • 3 Flow Sam
  • Sam Jam
  • Sam-Matic
  • BOOM
  • Sammy Splash (BasedCelticsFan)
  • Haus Money (Mike Dynon)
  • Eddie House-er (Mike Dynon)
  • Three-Can-Sam (Chris)

If you have any Haus3r nicknames to share send them in and we’ll add them to the list!
