Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics: Brad Stevens opens up about his team

The Boston Celtics have been to the playoffs in every season of the Brad Stevens era in Boston since the 2014-15 season. I included last year in this stat considering Stevens assembled a championship team as President of Basketball Operations for the Celtics.

Stevens acknowledged that none of his teams have raised a banner (yet), but they have been close and have had good-to-great teams to do so.

Stevens was the architect behind acquiring Malcolm Brogdon. One single move that has transformed the Celtics in multiple ways, both on and off the court. He appreciates the way Brogdon is embracing his role off the bench, a role that’s completely new for him.

Stevens also talks about the recent losing skid the Celtics have been on, dropping five of their last six, as interim head coach Joe Mazzulla navigates different lineups and matchups.

Stevens goes on to explain that Mazzulla’s title is what it is, but he’s the one who’s running the show. He continues on by saying there will be “updates” in regards to Mazzulla’s title.
