The Boston Celtics travel to Brooklyn for the second game of a back-to-back after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 125-114 last night at the TD Garden.
Rob Williams (knee rehab) and Marcus Smart (left knee contusion) were both on yesterday’s injury report, forcing them not to play against the Pelicans. But they’ve since been upgraded, making them available tonight vs the Nets.
After scoring a season-high 41-points last night in Boston, Jaylen Brown is listed as questionable due to left abductor tightness. He didn’t show any signs of injury while shooting 71 percent from the field last night.
Al Horford, as always, will only play one of the games of a back-to-back, and since he played last night, he will not be active tonight in Brooklyn, listed with lower back stiffness.
For the Nets, Nic Claxton is considered as day-to-day with a left shoulder impingement and is listed as probable tonight against the Celtics.
Kevin Durant will remained sidelined with an MCL sprain in his right knee, keeping him out for at least a month.
We’ll continue to monitor the injury reports for both teams leading up to tipoff.
