Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics: Jayson Tatum joins Kobe Bryant in 50-point game glory

The Boston Celtics defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night behind the 51-point performance from Jayson Tatum.

Tatum finished the night scoring 51-points on 15-for-23 shooting and made seven 3-pointers in the big victory.

In doing so, Tatum now has the most 50-point games all-time in Celtics history with five, surpassing Larry Bird.

Tatum, who’s only 24-years-old, is the seventh player in NBA history with five career regular season 50-point games before turning age 25, tying his idol and mentor, Kobe Bryant.

Tatum’s just getting warmed up with his 50-pieces this season, as he usually heats up in the second half of the season. Let’s see what the rest of the season brings for Tatum in his quest for MVP.
