Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics: Jayson Tatum joins Kobe Bryant in 50-point game glory

The Boston Celtics defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night behind the 51-point performance from Jayson Tatum.

Tatum finished the night scoring 51-points on 15-for-23 shooting and made seven 3-pointers in the big victory.

In doing so, Tatum now has the most 50-point games all-time in Celtics history with five, surpassing Larry Bird.

Tatum, whoโ€™s only 24-years-old, is the seventh player in NBA history with five career regular season 50-point games before turning age 25, tying his idol and mentor, Kobe Bryant.

Tatumโ€™s just getting warmed up with his 50-pieces this season, as he usually heats up in the second half of the season. Letโ€™s see what the rest of the season brings for Tatum in his quest for MVP.
