The Maine Celtics acquired nine-year NBA veteran guard Tony Snell from the Available Player Pool, as the team announced today.
At 31-years-old and nine-years in the league, Snell has career shooting splits of 43/39/85 while playing for six different teams.
Snell’s best years were a stretch from 2016 through 2020 when he spent three years in Milwaukee and then in Detroit for a year.
This acquisition is interesting in regards to how the current team is constructed. Snell is the oldest and most experienced NBA player on a roster that has a crop of great young talent that the organization is getting NBA ready to potentially join the Celtics.
The system in Maine is top-notch. We’ll see what this can turn into.
