The Boston Celtics updated their injury report prior to tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum.
For the Celtics
Marcus Smart will most likely ride the injury report through All-Star break and that’s the best decision for him and the team. The ankle injury he suffered three weeks ago in Toronto is the same ankle he injured in the playoffs last year. It took most of the summer for Smart to get back to the court.
Jaylen Brown is going to miss a few weeks with a facial fracture he suffered in Wednesday’s games vs the 76ers. Brown took an elbow to the face from his own teammate Jayson Tatum, as Boston’s duo went up for the same rebound.
Malcolm Brogdon is listed as available after missing last game with right achilles soreness.
Jayson Tatum is listed as OUT with another non-COVID illness, rest day situation.
Grant Williams was listed as questionable with eight elbow swelling, but is available tonight in Milwaukee.
Rob Williams is questionable with left ankle soreness.
Al Horford is questionable.
For the Bucks
Bobby Portis is dealing with a right MCL sprain and missed the last game. He’s still listed as out for tonight’s game in Milwaukee but could be upgraded to available status by tipoff.
Giannis is listed as probable with a knee injury.
Pat Connaughton is listed as day-to-day.
Khris Middleton is considered day-to-day as he continues to return to full strength from the knee injury that held him out to start the season.
Jae Crowder won’t be available for tonight’s game vs Boston or Thursday against Chicago, per Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe
We’ll continue to monitor the injury report for both teams leading up to tipoff at 7:30 PM tonight in Milwaukee.
