The Boston Celtics have finally did it. They removed the interim tag off of Joe Mazzulla’s coaching title to officially be the next head coach of the historic franchise.

This comes just prior to All-Star weekend where Mazzulla and his staff will be coaching in Utah for the Eastern Conference All-Star team.

Mazzulla has led the Celtics to the best record in the NBA at 42-17 in the aftermath of an uncertain offseason in regards to former head coach Ime Udoka.

This is a great move by the Celtics and for Mazzulla, who was also awarded a contract extension in the process.
