Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics end of summer schedule and dates

The Boston Celtics have had a busy offseason after winning the NBA Finals and securing the 18th championship in franchise history. From the parade, to the announcement of selling the team, to the Olympics, the Celtics have been all over the headlines.

The Celtics Media Day begins sooner than the rest of the NBA, beginning on Sept. 24, and the first practice on Sept. 25. This is because they’ll be playing two games in Abu Dhabi against the Denver Nuggets on Oct. 4 and Oct. 6.

This is the NBA Experiences promoting for the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024 featuring the last two NBA champions in an exhibition against each other.

After the two games in Abu Dhabi, the Celtics have five days off before the next three games of the preseason. The first two games will be at home in Boston against the Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors, while the final game will be in Toronto.

The NBA’s roster deadline is Oct. 21 with the season beginning the following day. This is an important date because it’ll show the plans for Lonnie Walker and the 15th roster spot. He’s currently signed on an Exhibit-10 contract and could end up in Maine prior to the start of the regular season.

It’s worth mentioning the Oct. 21 deadline for final rosters will impact Ron Harper Jr., and Tristan Enaruna who are on Exhibit-10 deals along with Walker.
