Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Robert Williams just dealing with knee soreness, per Ime Udoka

The Boston Celtics have played two games in the Eastern Conference Semifinal without their star big man Robert Williams, who is still dealing with lingering pain after having knee surgery only a few weeks ago.

Whatโ€™s the deal with Robert Williams?

Without Robert Williams, the Celtics are unable to get second chance opportunities. Mainly through offensive and defensive rebounds. But also from the standpoint of put-backs and tipping that keeps possessions alive.

In the last two games, the Celtics have had nine offensive rebounds to Milwaukeeโ€™s 30, which is just absurd. 21 rebounds is a HUGE variance. Itโ€™s hard to believe this would be happening with Rob out on the court.

The Celtics would greatly benefit from having Rob available as this postseason is on โ€œlife supportโ€ as Celtics insider Chris Forsberg called it.

Head coach Ime Udoka talked about Robโ€™s status during his weekly interview with Zolak and Bertrand on 98.5 The Sports Hub.

The Boston Celtics have arrived in Milwaukee and are eagerly waiting for the start of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal on Friday at the Fiserv Forum.
