The Boston Celtics will go as far as Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum can carry them and the dynamic duo understands that. Brown and Tatum have goals of leading this team back to the Finals and it has to be done together.
In the first game of the season, Brown and Tatum scored 35 points each, combining for 70 in Bostonโs home opener on a night dedicated to the legacy of Bill Russell.
In their second game in Miami, the Jayโs combined for 57 points, 29 from Tatum and 28 from Brown in what was an Eastern Conference Finals rematch between the Celtics and the Heat.
Brown and Tatum are the first Celtics teammates to each score 25 points in the first two games of the season since Robert Parish and Larry Bird in 1984-85.
The Celtics arguably have the best duo in the NBA and it might not even be close. The two stars will look to continue their hot start to the season tonight in Orlando against the Magic.
