Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics matchup well with Memphis Grizzlies in 10th game of season

The Boston Celtics are in Memphis to take on the Grizzlies tonight in what will be their 10th game of the season.

What we already know is that Luke Kornet will not be in Memphis for tonight’s game. He left the team prior to their last game in New York for personal reasons.

So we should expect to see another heavy night of Noah Vonleh, who played well against the Knicks, giving the Celtics offensive rebounds and earned some recognition from Jayson Tatum to the media afterwards.

Vonleh adds a little more size and length in areas the Celtics lack most and they’ll need it all tonight in dealing with Steven Adams. With Kornet out tonight there will be a lot riding on the shoulders of Vonleh, Al Horford, Grant Williams, and the recently called up Mfiondu Kabengele!

The Celtics and Grizzlies are pretty even when it comes to the stats. Through 9-10 games the only real upper hand Memphis has over Boston is rebounding.

While listening to Locked On Grizzlies Podcast, Joe Mullinax noted Memphis will have to put up some 3’s against Boston, perhaps suggesting the Grizz need to hit the three-ball to stretch the game apart from Boston. That said, Boston is the best 3-point shooting team in the league.

This will be a good matchup for Boston tonight in Memphis at the FedExForum starting at 9PM.
