The Boston Celtics are looking to notch their seventh consecutive victory while the Oklahoma City Thunder are coming into Boston with momentum of their own after earning their sixth win of the season in their last game.
I don’t want this game to be overlooked because it’s the Thunder. This team has some young studs and they should start to be taken seriously as SGA, Josh Giddey, and Luguentz Dort just led the way for OKC en route to scoring 145 points in their last game against the Knicks.
The Celtics have been on an unprecedented run to start the season and have one of the best offenses in league history to start the season, with a 120.2 offensive rating this year scoring 119.5 points per game.
Jayson Tatum is on an MVP run 13 games into the season and just scored a season-high 43 points in his last games against the Pistons. Tatum is by far the best player on the court at all times and has led the Celtics on a phenomenal start while the key to the team, Robert Williams, is recovering on the sidelines.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is leading OKC with 31.1 points per game on 54.3 percent shooting from the field. He’s ranking in the Top 10 on offense and just scored 37 points in his last game against the Knicks. He’s the real deal and is poised to make some noise in Boston tonight going up against Jayson Tatum.
Boston will see Al Horford and Jaylen Brown return to the lineup after missing their last game in Detroit but Malcolm Brogdon will remain day-to-day on the injury report.
This game has all the makings of turning into a shootout between Tatum and SGA, in which SGA would become the next player on Tatum’s hit list.
Be sure to catch the game tonight at 7:30PM
