The Boston Celtics were hoping for Aaron Nesmith to be able to develop on the fast track when they drafted him 14th overall in 2020.
There were few glimmers of Nesmith being an impactful wing player during his two years in Boston, but ultimately it just didnโt work out.
Nesmith would be part of the trade package Brad Stevens created to acquire Malcolm Brogdon from the Indiana Pacers (which will go down as another perfect move by Brad Stevens).
That said, Nesmith just recorded a career night in the Pacers last game. He scored a career high 19 points while surging the Pacers to a comeback victory in the fourth quarter.
Nesmith finished by scoring 19 points while making five 3-points and grabbed three rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench for the Pacers.
