The Boston Celtics identified Sam Hauser as their sharpshooter this season and hopefully the future as they re-signed him over the summer that’ll keep him in Boston through 2025.
Hauser showcased himself as a consistent shooter all season long and a reliable player his team can turn to when they need points. However, he’s been struggling in the month of December and it wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t talk about it.
Over the course of eight games this month, Hauser is shooting 32 percent from the field and 26 percent from behind the arc.

Hauser’s one purpose on the court ultimately opens up so many different possibilities for the Celtics, as his shooting prowess creates space on the floor for Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
The Celtics have already played eight of their 14 games this month. I’ll continue to track the shooting trends of Hauser for the rest of the month in hopes he gets out of this funk by the end of the calendar year.
