Grant Williams has exceeded expectations in many ways for the Boston Celtics since being drafted by the team in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft.
He blossomed into a legitimate 3-and-D player last season, proving to defend some of the best talent in the NBA while being one of the best 3-point shooters in the league.
Last night against the Mavericks, on national television, Williams made a move in the paint that we don’t see him do too often, but a move that can become beneficial for him and the Celtics.
Grant is set to become a restricted free agent at the end of the season. And moves like this will get him closer to the contract he’s looking for. Hopefully it’ll be with the Celtics.
