The Boston Celtics were handed one of their worst losses in franchise history on Tuesday night by the Oklahoma City Thunder, 150-117, on a night where Rob Williams was sidelined.
Rob was listed as OUT with knee management, which left plenty of room for speculation. We heard how Rob shouldn’t have sat out and it’s unfair to Al Horford, we’ve heard it all.
The Athletic’s Jay King asked Rob about it and there was definitely reasons for him to sit out vs OKC after playing against the Nuggets.
It’s fair for the Celtics to be extra cautious with Rob, considering they’ve screwed things up in the past with him. But this seems like it was a decision made by Rob, which is great.
The Celtics play next in San Antonio early on Saturday at 6:00 PM.
