The Boston Celtics shockingly dropped a game to the Phoenix Suns to the tune of 106-94 at the TD Garden on an extremely cold night in Boston, both on and off the court.
Jayson Tatum finished the night shooting only 3-of-15 from the field and went 3-of-10 from 3-point range, which means Tatum only took five shots that weren’t from deep. He finished with 20-points due to making 11-of-12 free throws. It was just an ugly game from Tatum.
Jaylen Brown struggled from distance as well, shooting 3-of-12 on the night. He finished the night 9-of-21 from the field overall, scoring 27-points.
Here is Amanda Pflugrad with some postgame coverage:
The Suns played great basketball on both ends of the court. You have to give credit where it’s due. They limited Tatum to only free throws, an almost impossible outcome.
