The Maine Celtics are 16-11 and currently reside as the third seed in the Eastern Conference. With the playoffs just around the corner, thereโs a legitimate chance for Maine to land the No. 2 seed, which would give them a first-round bye in the playoffs.
In the remaining five games, Maine will play the Wisconsin Herd twice, the Windy City Bulls twice, and the Westchester Knicks to end the season. The Herd and the Knicks have been eliminated from the playoffs.
The two games against the Bulls (Sunday and Tuesday) will determine where the Celtics land in the playoffs. The Celtics only have a one-game lead over the Bulls for the third seed right now.
The playoffs begin on Mar. 28 in a best of three series and the Finals are set to start on Apr. 11.
The Maine Celtics have a lot to play for in their final five games of the regular season.
