Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics: Injury report ahead of Game 71 vs Jazz

The Boston Celtics updated their injury report prior to tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz at the Vivint Arena.

For the Celtics

Malcolm Brogdon missed last night’s game in Portland with right achilles soreness. He’s available for tonight in Utah.

Jayson Tatum was on the early injury report yesterday with a hip contusion after a rough night in Minnesota dealing with Rudy Gobert, who Jaylen Brown said “played recklessly” in that game. But he’s available and playing tonight in Utah.

Al Horford is out with lower back stiffness.

Marcus Smart is out with left hip contusion.

Payton Pritchard is out with left heel pain.

Robert Williams will be out with a left hamstring strain he suffered in the third quarter of the Celtics’ game against the Nets last weekend.

Danilo Gallinari is managing well with ACL recovery and could make his season debut sooner than later by the way his workouts are going. He remains out.

For the Jazz

Jordan Clarkson is out with a finger injury.

Collin Sexton will be out at least another week, per Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune, which puts the rest of his season in jeopardy as there isn’t much time left in the regular season and the Jazz are currently a fringe play-in team.

We’ll continue to monitor the injury report for both teams leading up to tipoff at 9:00 PM tonight in Utah.
