Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla is built differently than most people.
He enjoys being in uncomfortable situations because he thinks it helps him grow as a person. He does jujitsu regularly to physically put his body through a tough battle- like his team does in every game they play, but it’s also to hold himself accountable.
Mazzulla challenges his players to be the best they can be by empowering them to succeed through adversity and to learn from mistakes they’ve made in the past.
With a full offseason under his belt as a head coach, Mazzulla was finally able to make his impact felt with imprinted philosophies and a upgraded coaching staff around him, which led the team to being one of the best in NBA history.
Mazzulla’s team believes in him. The Celtics organization believes in him. And because of it he’s able to get the most out of both of them.
Here’s a look at an interview with Mazzulla on his team and navigating the playoffs.
