Opening Up The Files On The Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics 2026 Preseason Schedule

The Boston Celtics will have four preseason games, two of which will be against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Celtics have been involved with the 76ers quite a bit over the last few months. After being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Philly, Boston traded them Jaylen Brown and now they’ll see each other six times in total, twice before the season even begins.

During Brad Stevens‘ press conference after the Celtics traded Brown, he said that it was tough to trade him to Philly after being beat in the playoffs by them and then to play against them six times before the playoffs.

“That is a hard thing to trade a guy that you, first of all, care so much about, and secondly, you have so much respect and admiration for, to a team that just beat you in the playoffs and that you’re going to literally play six times before the playoffs next year with our two preseason games.”

Here’s a look at the Celtics preseason schedule:

  • 10/8: @ Cavaliers (7 p.m)
  • 10/10: vs 76ers (8 p.m)
  • 10/14: vs Hornets (7:30 p.m)
  • 10/16: @ 76ers (7 p.m)

Other offseason additions for the Celtics include adding veterans Mitchell Robinson and Mike Conley Jr. in free agency, drafting Chris Cenac Jr. and Dillon Mitchell, and acquiring Paul George from trading Brown.

The Celtics went 3-2 in Summer League.
