The Boston Celtics were the No. 1 defense in the NBA this season, led by the Defensive Player of the Year in Marcus Smart. But when the league announced their All-Defensive Teams, the Celtics had a league-high six players who all received votes.

Marcus Smart: 99 First, 0 Second

Robert Williams: 3 First, 64 Second

Jayson Tatum: 1 First, 2 Second

Jaylen Brown: 1 First

Al Horford: 1 First

Derrick White: 3 Second

It’s worth mentioning that Smart and Williams both made First-Team and Second-Team All Defensive for the 2021-22 season.
